No Longer Had The Interests Of The Club At Heart And Lacked Sufficient Will To Bring About The Return Of The Club To Its Home Town. The Club Badge Has The Enfield Beast On The Shield With A Football. Town Were Admitted To The Essex Senior League For The 2001-02 Season And Enjoyed A Succesful First Campaign, Winning The Essex Senior League Cup, The Cherry Red Books Trophy And The Middlesex Senior Charity Cup And Finishing Second In The Essex Senior League. The Following Season, Town Won The League Championship, But Were Not Promoted As The Facilities At Brimsdown Were Not Sufficient To Meet The Requirements Of The Isthmian League. Over The Next Eighteen Months Supporters Of The Club Carried Out Extensive Work To Improve The Ground To A Standard That Would Allow Enfield Town And Brimsdown Rovers To Progress To Higher Levels Of Football. In 2004-05 Town Won The Essex Senior League Again And Were Promoted To The Southern League Division One East. The 2005-06 Season Thus Saw Town Playing League Matches Against Enfield F.C. Enfield Town Finished The 2005-06 Season In 3Rd Place On An Impressive 81 Points, Which Resulted In A Play-Off Position. They Were Defeated 3-1 By Wivenhoe Town F.C. After Extra Time In The Semi-Final Of The Play-Offs. Because Of The Reorganisation Of Step 4 Of The National League System, Enfield Town Were Reallocated To The Isthmian League First Division North, Which Is On The Same Level As The Southern League Division One East Had Been, In 2006-7, And Were Again Playing League Matches Against Enfield F.C. Once Again, They Finished In 3Rd Place, This Time With 79 Points, And Were Defeated 4-2 By A.F.C. Sudbury In The Semi-Final Of The Play-Offs. In June 2007 Enfield Town Chairman Paul Millington Released A Club Statement Via The Website Following The Resignation Of The Original Side Enfield F.C.
