2007 Has Been A Very Disappointing Year For Korean Football. From The Abdication Of Verbeek, To The Indecisiveness Of The Korean Football Association, 2007 Would Indeed Prove To (Or Undoubtedly) Be A Year Most Fans Would Want To Forget. However, As A Korean Football Fan, I Managed To Cherish One Good Memory From This Year -- That Is, The Immense Passion And Team Spirit Shown By The Korean Side During The Match Against Arch-Rivals Japan In The Afc 2007. Due To Star Players Such As Park Ji-Sung, Lee Young-Pyo, And Seol Ki-Hyeon Missing Out, The Korean Side Played Very Poor Football Throughout The Tournament. The National Team's Poor Form Even Continued Throughout The Match Against Japan For 3Rd Place. Prior To The Match, The Korean Side Had Played Two Long Games Which Both Ended Up In Penalty Shoot-Outs; Furthermore, They Only Managed To Score 3 Goals In The 5 Games They Had Played In. However, To Make Matters Even Worse, A Player Was Sent Off Along With All Of The Korean Coaching Staff During The Match Against Japan. Thus, Laden With Exhaustion, The Koreans Struggled To Keep Up With The 11-Men Side Of Japan. But, With A Fierce Intent To Persevere, And With A Passion And Strength That Was Not Displayed Before, They Managed To Make It Through To Extra-Time And Eventually To Penalties, Amidst The Immense Pressure Exerted Star Japanese Players Such As Nakamura And Takahara. In The End, Manpower Did Not Manage To Overcome The Korean Players' Strong Mentality And Passion. The Korean Side Went On To Win A Dramatic Match By 7-6 On Penalties, Securing Themselves A Place For The Next Asian Cup. Therefore, Although 2007 Would Not Be Remembered As A Memorable Year For Fans, The Passion, The Spirit, And The Perseverance Displayed By The Players Would Always Remain In Our Hearts, As Refreshing Signs Of Hope For The Future. P.S. Thank You So Much For The Revision Realmadridfootball!
